The past week brought 1.07" of moisture, mostly from a rain/freezing rain  event. There have been a few small snow storms the past few days. Also it is snowing now which is not included but very small. The December total was over an inch below normal at 3.24". Received 14.3" of snow in December, above my long term average of 13.8". The 2 largest storms in December were both rain, here and at Mt Snow.  December was also a cold month except when the bigger storms came up the coast, then it brought warm air. It has been almost 2 weeks since I skied but will get out next week. More birds lately because I have thrown a handful of mixed seed on the ground most days. This keeps the Juncos and Cardinals happy. They like to feed on the ground. My neighbor would like to be out on a snowmobile but looking at a Vast map, little is open.  Rain.
