Here in Northern Will Co, December ending was 106% of the monthly NOAA avg, 2.34" vs 2.2". Thank to a very mild spell which pushed a good rainfall up from the south. Enough to actually get the sump pump cycling for about 3 days.
The Water Yr at Dec ending is still towards the top end of Below Normal, 2.3" short.
The Calendar Yr ending is at the bottom end of the Near Normal range, coming in 5,17" short of the year vs the NOAA avg of 39.18.
Have only been doing this gig since 2016, this has been the driest Calendar Yr.
