Soil temperatures, for the period, at 2” have averaged 35.0 degrees, 4” average is 35.4 degrees, 8” average is 35.8 degrees and 20” average is 38.3 degrees. +1.6 overall increase, on average, from the previous period.
Temperatures moderated considerably, once again, from last week with the average temperature rising 10.8 degrees from last week. (25.4 to 36.2) First time above freezing this month. Frost depth thawed completely this past week with no snow cover. However, monthly average is still at -4.5 overall.
The birds continue flocking the bird feeder with more than 30 birds at times around the two seed stations and suet stations. Squirrels and bunny rabbits are out as well each day.
