Description:
For the week of December 21, 2025, .32 inches of precipitation was recorded.  No snow was observed.  Total precipitation for December stands at 2.12 inches.  Total snowfall for December stands at 12 inches.  The beginning of the week was precipitation free.  Un-settled weather moved end mid-week.  Daytime high temperatures were mostly above seasonal normals.  River and creeks continue to be near normal levels.  There continues to be a little discharge from the spring.  The soil has moisture in it.  Leaf litter remains damp.  High numbers of Spotted Lanternfly egg masses were observed on the WVU Evansdale Campus indicating the insect will be very noticeable next Summer on the campus.  High temperature for the week was 59 degrees.  The low temperature for the week was 18 degrees.  Daytime outdoor burning is prohibited through December 31st per WVDOF.  *Temperature data taken from PWS.
