Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: MS-CH-3
Station Name: Clarksdale 2.9 SW
Report Date: 12/28/2025
Submitted: 12/28/2025 5:01 AM
Scale Bar: Moderately Dry
Description:
Weekly precipitation was a Trace. Lows the past 7 days (last Sunday through yesterday-Saturday December 27, 2025):36,47,62,56,56,62,60. Highs:56,65,75,78,76,76,72. We had some foggy/misty mornings this past Tuesday, Friday and Saturday due to a South wind that has been bringing gulf moisture in since Monday. Plenty of clouds everyday this past week except for the 24th and 25th which had more sun than clouds. The bottom line is this: it's unusually dry and has been well above average temperature wise. I can drive anywhere on the farm right now and the yard is still firm. We are only 33% of average on rain for December and are down 7.58 inches for the year according to PRISM. The dry conditions are not really a problem right now since we are in the midst of winter. Judging by the numbers and lack of water in area water/drainage ways, I feel we have progressed into "moderately dry" conditions. Other observations: leaves have been falling in buckets out of area oak trees this past week signaling the start of our two most dormant months: January, February.
