December 21 - 27, 2025: a total of 1.19" rain with 0.90" measured on Monday AM December 22. Some amount of rain each day except on the 24th. A series of storm systems moving either from the NW (WA and OR) or the SW (CA and NV) moving through SW Idaho to Central Idaho mountains. Snow deposited at higher elevations was melted by rain the followng day. Record-breaking overnight and daytime temperatures-- generally 20°F warmer than normal, including one 60°F low for the day for Dec. 24th. Grass is green and growing. Trees are shedding leaf caps. Rain is soaking into the soil because the soil has not frozen.Some garden flowers are still blooming...blanket flower, carnations, alyssum, and pansies still have flowers. Allergies feel like February conditions. Wasps are showing up in back yard gardens. Hopefully honey bees are not waking up and eating food resources that will be needed several months from now. Very unusual weather conditions. Very wet. Very warm.
