It has been a week since the last rainfall.  Cool fronts continue to make their way through this area, many of which are dry fronts. Lawn grasses are brown from the frost and freezing temperatures we are now getting as our winter approaches. Soil moisture is good. Winter weeds are growing since the big rains from a couple of weeks back. My lawn renovation is at a standstill with no work done due to Christmas decorations spread out over the yard. Drainage ditches have been holding a little water, but only in low spots.  Native birds are drinking from the in-ground sugar kettle/pond.
