Remaining at Moderately Dry. My MTD compared to PRISM Normals is doing very well, 122% of Normal. However YTD and WYTD are 68% and 53% of PRISM Normals. The snow we received a week ago is now mostly gone except in protected areas and where it had drifted. Overall snowpack SWE is 68% of 30-year Average in my 6-Digit HUC, and 74% of Average in my 8-Digit HUC. Birds continue to use the birdbath frequently. Have seen crows, ravens, Stellar's jays, pygmy nuthatches, an occasional robin, and a lot of LBBs. Had a large herd of elk come through the neigborhood this morning. At least 150 animals, maybe up to 200. Mostly grazing on the grasses as there is very little brows since most have gone dormant. There have been a few deer and wild turkeys come through as well. No new fire restrictions in the area besides the permanent Stage 1 restrictions. Plenty of snow in the high country for skiing, snowshoeing, etc.
