Cold week with daytime temperatures below -20°C, a warming trend expected this week, with more snow in the forecast. Snow pack is unchanged since last week, about 8cm deep in open areas, less in the bush. The bird feeder continues to be busy with blue jays, hairy and downy woodpeckers, chickadees and nuthatches, and both evening and pine grosbeaks.
