The past week was a continuation wintry conditions. We've had 6 days of precipitation totaling 1.01"; where a little over half fell as rain during a mini-thaw mid-week, and the rest fell as 7.3" of snow. We have had an 18-day continuous snowpack since 11/27/2025; and this week it has ranged from 7.0" to 11.0". We've had below seasonal average temperatures all week except one day midweek where the temperature high hit 33F. This week was book-ended with probable record-breaking subzero lows of -2(F) on Monday morning and -1F this morning! Conditions this week have been Near Normal (for winter). Birds are showing up at the bird feeder every day and many geese have been flying low and noisily right over my yard. Many schools and activities throughout Western Michigan have been canceled during the week due to heavy snowfall or very icy roads.
