Liquid precipitation since the last report a week and a half ago totaled about 1/2 inch; more than an inch of it fell as snow. The current snowpack exceeds an inch, leaving overall conditions about normal for mid-December here. A nearby field's low spot now has a small amount of ice. Before the current snowfall, grass on local lawns had become predominantly yellow as the temperature has twice fallen into single digits since the last report. Animal activity has slackened as well. Local business activity has increased as Christmas shopping became a factor. Forest fire danger is now low, nearby water reservoir level remains high.
