A dry and quiet week with sunny days and no precipitation falling or even threatening. Winds were mostly calm all week with high temperatures in the mid 50's to low 60's though it did get up to 66° on Saturday which was the high of the week. Lows were in the 20's all week with a low of 21° on Monday. No change in plant life in the surrounding open areas with everything dormant. The Christmas rose (Hellebores) has flower buds and one garlic is sprouting in the garden. Dark-eyed juncos and other birds, a gray color and similar in size, were observed in the yard foraging for food and drinking water out of the pond. Heard some geese flying overhead and saw a raven.
