Light snow this morning. Below normal for precipitation but unable to get to the bare ground to feel the dirt. 
Using furnace only. Heat pump turned off for the cold season. 
Plants buried in snow. rhododendrons leaves are shut tight. Have seen Flickers, Blue Jay, Cardinals (apair), Juncos, Doves, Chickadees, Sparrows at the feeder. 
Had a squirrel make a mighty leap to the feeder. Had to chase it away. We’ve seen geese flying north. Just one flock in the V pattern. 
 No water restrictions or poor water quality. Skiing and winter sports are great. Packed powder on slopes. Merrimack River is frozen over.
