Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: CA-MD-45
Station Name: Mendocino 0.5 NE
Report Date: 12/7/2025
Submitted: 12/07/2025 6:38 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
Another week with just a tiny amount of drizzle in the gauge and just a slight chance of drizzle in the coming week. We are at about half of where we were at the end of November last year, and last December saw us getting over 12 inches. Folks are beginning to get concerned. We need 40 inches of rain during the season to ensure no water restrictions during the summer and we have only received 8.38 inches so far. But,the drizzle and marine layer cover here on the coast is still keeping things green and winter growth is happening. Ocean conditions earlier in the week were not favorable for fishing or water sports, with King tides running. A good bird count last week, with some of the rarer migrants showing up at last. The first week in December is generally light as far as tourists go, and this year was no exception.
