6.6” yesterday for total snow for this month. 4.5” above normal for snow for December. The total precipitation is still below normal. Not sure if we’re still considered in a drought. Ground is snow covered. Ice on roadways. Treacherous to walk on our park’s road.
Not using heat pump. Too cold.
No agriculture. Birds seen yesterday include a female Flicker, Cardinal mated pair, Chickadees, Juncos, a Sparrow. Saw flocks of ducks flying south in a hurry.
Squirrels are out occasionally.
No water supply issues. No restrictions. Skiing up north is reported to be good, although really cold.
