Station Name: Clarksdale 2.9 SW
Report Date: 12/7/2025

Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
Weekly precipitation was 1.34 inches. Weekly lows:34,33,31,30,33,31,36. Highs:50,38,34,39,38,39,48. A cloudy, chilly and damp week of weather for us. The temperature fell into the 30s Sunday night (Nov. 30th) and stayed between 30 and 39 degrees all week until mid to late morning yesterday (Sat. Dec 6th). Rain of 88 hundredths fell Monday afternoon and into the night. The next rain event came Thursday with a steady mist that transitioned into a light rain that lasted all day. We were colder than normal by a few degrees on our lows and much cooler than normal for our highs this past week (normal lo/hi is 35/53). Thick clouds and damp conditions helped to keep the temperature down. We did some more catching up on our ground moisture this past week with two prolonged rain events that proved to be good soakers. The sun has not come out to dry things up much either. We are down to less than 10 hours of sun per day now and less than 34 degrees for a peak sun angle each day around noon. Looking and feeling very wintry this past week for our area. The landscape is brown for the most part. Lots of oak trees still have most of their leaves though. Ground conditions are close to normal, but the yard is still firm, which is unusual for the time of year. I will leave the scale bar on the "mildly dry" selection for this week.
