0.29” rain this week, ground is absorbing it well, ponds still low.  Staying home preparing for the holiday, we didn't get out to see crops and creeks, but the neighbor's winter wheat is showing up.  Lots of wind this week, trees 99.99% bare.  Picture attached shows the change for the month of November.  A few deer out at sundown.  The Northern Harrier put on some real aerobatic shows. A Great Blue heron made several fishing trips at the upper pond, while a Sharp-Shinned Hawk did a fast fly-by.  Out with the dog for last time of the evening, a Barred Owl called loud and up close making both of us jump.  He was asking about our domestic help.
