Normal seems the best choice to describe conditions for both the past week and the month. Total rainfall for the month was 1.85", nighttime temps for the second half of the month, with just a few exceptions, have been just below freezing. We even received a little dusting of snow this past Friday. It had melted by the following morning.
It looks and feels like winter is coming on. Holiday decorations are showing up in earnest. Folks are buying Christmas trees, it's getting common to see vehicles with trees strapped to the top. That's good news for the local tree farms in the area.
The usual critters are around, squirrels, rabbits and chipmunks; crows, sparrows, starlings and a few blue jays have stayed while Juncoes are settling in from the north.
The first (minor) snow storm for our local area is predicted for Tuesday, the first week of December. Pretty much all normal.
