General: We're not receiving the precipitation we have over the past 4 years. Our total to date for November is .78", and we expect 1.21" (sd = 1.44). It's an admittedly small sample (4 years), but we had no snow this month, but 15.5" in 2024 by this time. This does make me nervous.
Agriculture: The winter wheat is coming up, though I wonder if it's getting sufficient moisture. It's a little less robust than I remember last year.
Energy: We're into the period when we use more than we produce, even when the sky is pretty clear. Yesterday we used 62.86 kWHR and produced 41.84 kWHR. Part of our higher use is that our heat pumps are out of service and we had to use supplemental heat.
Fire: Low danger right now.
Plants/wildlife: We are still seeing deer in the area, and saw a pair of ducks on the Buckskin pond this week (freeze-thaw there).
Water: Again, a little nervous. We've had 5.09" of moisture this water year, and we typically (4 year average) have 10.786").
