Dry early fall interrupted with larger rain event in late October with another small rain event approx. 30 days later.  Wildflowers that should be sprouting are delayed in overall germination.  Those that have germinated are small.  Grasses are mostly dormant (from heat and limited fall water) or highly stressed from drought.  Typical La Niña pattern.
