1.84” rain this week, creeks flowing, ponds coming up a bit, on the high end of mildly wet.  Some standing beans still, but we saw no standing corn on our route. Turnip cover crops looking good.  We may have had our last day of porch-sitting for the year.  Only a few leaves remaining, mostly oaks and beeches.  2 fawns visited the pond midday, at dawn heard turkeys talking for the first time in a long while, last night coyotes and hound dogs loudly discussing current events.  A Northern Harrier has made hunting trips over our yard and hay field for the past two days.  Maybe she'll take up winter residency here.
