With .53" of precipitation observed at this station, conditions are Mildly Dry. Though we did have some rain in the past week, it quickly disappeared into the soil, still powdery and dry. Grass is still green but plants have died back for the season. Birds are foraging the remaining plant skeletons and water is now thawed each morning for wildlife. Temperatures have been up and down, making the near future weather uncertain. Still hoping for lots of precipitation this winter.
