With a shot of rain this week, I am going to keep this station at Mildly Dry.  The 0.44" that fell on Monday into Tuesday soaked in and the following four days were foggy with light rain.  I am sure the subsoil is dry, but the topsoil is soft under foot, and my grass had grown.  I mulched leaves yesterday and took a decent cut of grass after mowing a week and half prior.  Even though this station is short for MTD and WYTD, YTD is still Near Normal for 30 Year NOAA Norm.  Area rivers continue to be very low.  For them to rise there needs to be precipitation and run off to the north.  It appears most fall farm work is completed.  The week will start off with mild temps and a chance for rain, before the temps drop by the end of the week.  Let's hope there is a good shot of soaking rain before the ground begins to freeze.
