Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: MI-AN-25
Station Name: Plainwell 0.5 WSW
Report Date: 11/23/2025
Submitted: 11/23/2025 8:39 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
The past 2 weeks we've had 5 days of precipitation totaling 0.47" falling as rain and 4.5" of snow. At one point our snowpack on the ground reached a maximum of 3.0". Most days had seasonal average temperatures, giving us between Mildly Dry and Near Normal conditions. Grass is green and growth has slowed towards dormancy. Most of our trees dropped their remaining leaves very suddenly with the arrival of the snowy weather 2 weeks ago (see attached photo), though some oak, beech and few odd trees are hanging on to their leaves. Birds are showing up in greater numbers at the bird feeder, and moles have reappeared on the surface of lawns after sounding to deeper depths for a while. Local farmers are mostly done harvesting their fields.
