In spite of having 1.25" of precipitation within the last week conditions remain just dry of normal.  The center of the yard is dry but there is still water filling the sump pump crock at a very slow rate.   All the tree leaves are down, and birds are showing up at the bird feeders (Dark Eyed Juncos, Bluejays, Woodpeckers, White Breasted Nuthatches)
