With another 0.83” of rain this week conditions remain near normal although trending towards mildly wet. The Pascoag Reservoir continues to slowly drain and is down to about 2’ above winter level. It will be another week or two before it fully drops but we have reached the point that no boaters are able to get out on the lake. All trees in the neighborhood have fully dropped their leaves and we did our final leaf cleanup this week which is about 2 weeks earlier than normal. Hiking trails at George Washington state park and Sprague Farm are wet in the usual places and streams and brooks are flowing nicely. Bluebirds, blue jays, chickadees, sparrows and woodpeckers remain active in the area. George Washington state park continues to post Low for fire danger. Also, the Clear River water utility continues its odd/even outdoor water use restrictions.
