Severely Dry - As of 11/20 .14" of precipitation for November, on the way to 2.01" monthly average. We are nearly 5" below average for August through November. Some much needed rain is expected over the next 10 days so fingers crossed. Small ponds are completely dry, with larger 1 ac. ponds nearly dried up. Small creeks are not running and almost completely dry. Most of the corn/beans are harvested; winter wheat and triticale feed winter crops have been planted and germinated but could use rain. Unseasonably warm and very dry conditions will moderate over the next few weeks, with some measurable precipitation predicted. Without much needed rain, bushes and trees may encounter winter kill if things don't improve.
