We have received about 0.51 inches of rain so far this month.  If this was the growing season, we would be in trouble due to lack of ground moisture.

There are a lot of Shagbark Hickory nuts on the ground.  The  local wild bird owner is saying that seed sales are lower than normal.  There are indications that the birds are finding a lot of natural foods and the weather has been milder than usual.
