Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: CO-LR-1272
Station Name: Estes Park 1.7 SW
Report Date: 11/16/2025
Submitted: 11/16/2025 2:11 PM
Scale Bar: Moderately Dry
Description:
Still no precipitation. Hopeful we will get something this week. Plants are mostly dormant with a few grasses still showing some green. Winds have been moderate the past week so not as much evaporative drying as last week. Rivers remain below historical average discharge. Lots of birds at the birdbath in the yard. Elk are starting to gather into large herds for the migration down to lower elevations. Snow pack as measured by SnoTel sites reporting 21% of 30 year median for today in my 6-Digit HUC and 15% of 30 year median in my 8-Digit HUC. Zero precipitation MTD, 67% of PRISM Normal YTD, and 43% of PRISM Normal WYTD at my location. No fire restrictions in my area other than the permanent Stage 1 restrictions in the Estes Valley and in the National Park. I may have to downgrade my Condition assessment if the expected precipitation later this week does not occur.
