The atmospheric river went south this past week and only 0.47" of precipitation fell. Otherwise, warm, sunny days. Highs 60-67, lows 47-57. Ruth Lake now 76% on 11/11. Both the Mad River and the Eel had peak flow on 11/14, and have since receded some. No change in the California drought map, but with the most recent storms, probably will next week. Controlled burns have been happening the last few weeks on timber lands, tribal lands, park and forest service properties, now that wet weather has returned. Very rare bird showed up this past week, and continues daily, a leucistic Oregon Junco: it has circular white cheek patches on both sides of it's head, as well as a few sprinkles of white across the back of the neck area, and all within the black hood. Pretty cute.
