0.09” precip this week, 0.5” light snow Sunday and Monday. My first time measuring snow. Mistake – I put the snow board right on the ground, too far for old eyes and old knees to read the depth easily. Fixed – I borrowed the grandkids play table and mounted the board on top. Much easier. Ponds and creeks still low. The cold and wind removed more leaves; the wood line is becoming see-through. Picture attached showing the difference of 2 weeks. Standing hay and crops all brown and ready to harvest, more came down. Warm up tail end of the week made for nice porch-sitting in the shade of the front porch. The sunny back porch is still loaded with ladybugs trying to get inside. Spotted a few does dawn and dusk. Tuesday night we saw red Northern lights, a neat show.
