Conditions are drier than usual.  We’ve had no rain in the past two weeks and temperatures are above normal for the time of year. Highs have been running in the 70s most days with a maximum of 77 yesterday. Soil moisture and water body levels are below normal and some cool season crops in my garden are wilting in the afternoon heat. Local pastures look in pretty good condition though. The small stream nearby had some small pools from the last rain but they have dried up this week. There seems to be a moderate fire danger now that we’ve had a frost and there is a lot of brown vegetation and wind.
