Station Number: OH-GR-49
Station Name: Bellbrook 1.1 NNE
Report Date: 11/16/2025
Submitted: 11/16/2025 8:53 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
We experienced our first snowfall of this 2025/2026 season. Soil conditions are normal to slightly damp at this time. Trees are shedding leaves quickly now with the fall color season about over. Some bushes are still providing a colorful backdrop to the area. Vegetation has mostly died off with the previous couple of weeks of temperatures below freezing. Grasses are starting to go into dormancy but still show strong green colors. Birds that migrate further south appear to have done so. Other birds that are endemic to this area or migrated hear from points north are busy looking for seeds and any insects still moving. "Woolly worms" have been very visible this past couple of weeks. Small mammals have been focusing on nest building, such as squirrels building nests in trees.
