Station Number: OK-DL-9
Station Name: Grove 4.1 N
Report Date: 11/16/2025
Submitted: 11/16/2025 7:32 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
It's been more than two weeks since we've had good rainfall and things are drying out. The forecast is for some heavy rains next week so I have fingers crossed for that.

We have a very large oak tree in our yard and the leaves are dropping like rain. I've "mowed" the leaves a couple of times. I'd rather do that than rake and send them to a landfill or burn them. I keep a few small piles of leaves in corners of the fence for the birds to pick through for bugs. The grass has pretty well stopped growing but is still green for the most part.

Grand Lake has slowed tremendously in regards to boat traffic. We've had highs in the upper 70's and even 80's the past couple of days and there have probably been some pleasure boating done this weekend, but what I see mostly now are fishing boats. That goes pretty much year around unless the lake freezes up.

With the warmer weather this week, the neighborhood has been actively raking leaves, mowing, trees are being trimmed and whatever else can be done outside is being done. The leaves have been changing colors and it's nice going for drives and seeing all the color.
