Our lack of rain continued this week resulting in soils Remaining parched and sandy. We also had a couple of recent freezes, and this has effectively caused the majority of the grass in our lawn to turn brown, however there are still small patches of green grass remaining in spots. Next, our two Brown Turkey Figs, our two Dunstan Chestnut Trees, and our Kieffer Pear tree are doing well at this time, and it is My hope this upcoming storm system for next week can help our trees get a good drink of much needed rain water soon. Lastly, area wildlife sightings have mainly been a few birds flying about, a few deer on the sides of the roads, various flying insects and coyotes howling at night.
