The rains of august are a distant memory. Upper Lake Lafayette has disappeared into the sinkhole, becoming a prairie lake once again. Other lakes very low. Small animals seeking water at birdbaths. Ground is dry and very hard, plants dying without irrigation. Driest two and a half months since I moved back to Tallahassee in 2010.
