with .63" of rain (no snow) the past week, have to call it near normal even though over the long term we are still in drought (severe according to the US drought monitor). But soils are wet at least to a depth of 6", and streamflows are up substantially. Plants have mostly lost their leaves. Garden is long past done, except for some lettuce in the greenhouse, and we planted garlic this week. Lots of smokey hazy days from the forest service burning slash piles--they incorrectly call them "prescribed burns". We had a few prescribed burns in our wood stove this week too!
