Soil moisture at 6" beneath pine trees on sloping ground out of "dry" range today (3/10) with pinecone pricklies closed tight. Discovered new laser rangefinder measurements become erratic at the creek when water is flowing but has been reliable on land and treetops. Indoors no longer "muggy" with windows open for the first time this season. Discovered saliva pH measured at observation time daily for the last 17 days correlated trend of lower pH associated with higher indoor moisture (grams per cubic meter) for that time period.
