Dry conditions persisted this past week until this station received 0.63" of rain yesterday and a little accumulating snow. YTD precipitation is at 88 percent of 30 yr NOAA Norm which is listed as near normal. US Drought Monitor showing moderate drought conditions for this area. With the winds this past week many of the trees that had changed color have lost their leaves. Area harvest appears nearly complete. Area rivers (Mississippi, Rock and Green) are low. There have been a couple news stories this past week regarding the low level of the Mississippi affecting barge traffic and shipping. The week is forecasted to start off cold with some bitter wind chill and gradually warm to the 70's by end of the week. It doesn't appear any precipitation is expected after today. Mildly Dry rules the day.
