0.89” rain this week. Snow in the forecast this week, so I reviewed the snow seminar https://media.cocorahs.org/docs/WinterPrecipitationMeasurements_V3.0_Nov2022.pdf
I'll get the snowboard set up today. Did the last mowing of the year, mostly just chopping leaves and hulling walnuts for the squirrels. Our bald cypresses are showing color, the last to join the show. Windy, making more bare trees. We're on the wet side of normal but ponds and creeks still low. One fawn strolled through the front yard in full daylight, but no other critters seen. Chinese ladybugs swarming, doing their durndest to get into the house. Yellow-jackets aplenty and I got stung twice just sitting on the porch enjoying the sun. Brief thunderstorms with moderate rainfall rate on Friday, then a lull, then a vicious 30 second cloudburst that made us all jump and even ran the Great Blue Heron off his fishing detail. More crops down than remain standing.
