Near normal conditions continue. 0.37” in the preceding week. Leaf drop well underway – oaks, of course, are holding on but many other species are now partly to mostly bare. Forecast for last Thursday indicated frost, so harvested the vulnerable veggies – no frost, of course! Pond level remains slightly elevated but this might be planned control depth for late autumn – they’ll flood the bogs again in December or early January to protect the vines from the cold. Wildlife activity remains normal, and there’s a loud coyote choir anytime the carillon at the nearby church plays!
