Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: TX-MSN-8
Station Name: Mason 0.4 W
Report Date: 11/8/2025
Submitted: 11/08/2025 7:59 AM
Scale Bar: Moderately Dry
Description:
Conditions continue to dry with the drought monitor now listing the county as being about 80% D0 and 20% D1. The
D1 condition is new this week. The DSCI has increased from 100 to 180. The USGS reports the Llano River at Hwy 87 is flowing at 71 cfs vs. the 53-year median of 160 cfs. This is nearly identical to last week's report. Trees are showing signs of stress but are also going dormant. The amount of fire fuel in the county is large and the county remains under a 90-day burn ban as of Aug 25. I did not measure any precipitation this week and temperatures were record high. There are still many birds are our feeders and butterflies can still be seen.
