Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
For week of 02-08 Nov: (0+ 0+ 19.0+ 2.8+ 13.0+ 7.6+ 2.8)= 45.2mm, Mildly Wet. High's: +6C to +12C; Low's: +6C to -2C; Wind: Calm to V gusts to 36km/hr; Frost: 1 x thick, heavy frost 03 Nov. Its been a mixed bag of weather this past week. Still mild for Nov, and quite wet. On 4th Nov, I was actually a Red dot on the Daily Precip Map (with 4 other locations)at 0730. 19.0mm with steady rain. Not outrageous, but kind of remarkable, with having gone through a summer drought. It has rained all but 2 days this week. From drizzle to showers to steady rain. One day we even had puddles. Every bit of it has soaked into the ground. The grass is now very soft, versus a Nov early frozen. We've had 1.5 mth's worth of rain in the past 2 wks. Its been a God-send for all vegetation and wells, but it plays havoc with the ever-ongoing road work on Peggy's Cove Rd. A huge shout-out to those road crews and dump truck drivers. They are putting in some long hrs in wind and wet. It will be a beauty road when its all finished. And with the wet, the grass is still green, and the deer still come. No shortage of grazing here. Remainder of wildlife pretty quiet. Tourism has slowed with the rain. More school buses than tour buses. You just have to have mega patience, waiting in the very long traffic lines. Turn the car off, radio on, and watch the opposing lane drive by. Its almost hypnotic. Fun times.
