| As of 10/30, recorded rainfall is 2.14" and that should be it for the month of October - that is .88" under the average of 3.02" for this area. Collectively since August we are 3.11" below average for the 3 month period. While we had some nice showers recently that will help winter wheat and triticale germinations, the trend is still Moderately Dry. Some corn still yet to be harvested, with a lot of soybeans still in the fields due to the recent rains halting harvest activities. With the latest cold front seeing some waterfowl migration, and I'm sure many of the songbirds migrated with strong North winds. |
