The high temperature was around fifty one degrees and the low around thirty six degrees Fahrenheit. Songbirds are eating a feederful every two days. Asters and Queen Anne's Lace are still blooming. Apples are gone. Around 1/4 the leaves still have color. Almost all Black Walnuts have fallen. 50%-60% of leaves have fallen. Canadian Geese have flocks of 100-200 birds, Blackbirds and sparrows have larger flocks. The nearby trout stream is flowing but low. 3/4 of the corn fields are cut. |
