We've had a little precipitation this week but not enough to make up for the longer term we've not had any. The ground is very dry. There is no water flowing in the stream and the pond is well below the outlet level so no water is flowing downstream. We are carrying water to recent plantings along the trails in the woods as they are showing signs of stress and wilting. We do have a large number of birds migrating through the area. We see them during the day while they rest up for the next night's journey. We've also seen a cayote, some possums and raccoons. The white tailed deer are entering the rut so we see them running through the forest periodically. Plants are doing well but not many leaves have changed color or fallen yet.
