The soil is powder dry; the crops, having been harvested, create dust devils during the daytime, and the crops not yet harvested will support wildfires. Lakes are well below normal pond levels, and most ponds are nearly dry. Creeks and streams are nearly trickles in mud. The grass is so dry, as is the vegetation, wildfires will be extreme.
