Over the past week 0.54" of rain at the location, all during one storm at the beginning of the week.  The soil, though dry on the surface does remain workable and the established perennials, shrubs and trees continue to do well.  Streams are still running at lower levels than normal. Many butterflies are in the gardens over the past week along with many bees.
