General awareness: Our 4 year average for moisture is 1.39"
and we've only received a .05", so we're down on moisture at this point. We still have half the month to go, so we still have time!
Agriculture: Our neighbors started harvesting their winter wheat last night! The spring wheat looks pretty much ready to harvest, too.
Energy: We're having to use the AC some now, but even at that we created 60.8 kWHR and only used 17.08 kWHR.
Fire: Risk is high right now. Thunderstorms get your attention because of the potential lightning strikes coupled with high winds.
Plants/wildlife: We have a bat that has been frequenting our porch. I worry that it doesn't have sufficient moths, which are in short supply this year along with all insects.
Water: We're still in good shape for the water year. Our 4-year average is 18.55", and we are currently at 18.59". I placed us at "mildly dry" based on our August rainfall.
