The wet conditions of the previous observation period have moderated somewhat, so have pulled back to Mildly Wet. This location did receive nearly seven-tenths of rain during the last seven days as temperatures averaged 2.7 degrees above normal. Yesterday was exceeding warm with heat indices easily above 105F. Have succeeded in getting the tall lawn mowed and trimmed up after being away as noted in the previous report. Crops continue to look excellent. The Des Moines river is running high with the local feeder rivers well within banks. The county finally graded the badly rutted road to this location, and they add more ROCK! So the ten inch ruts are gone. YaY!
